The debut album by Kjarr was recorded over the course of three years (in Reykjavik, Hafnarfjörður and Glasgow). Songs are written & produced by Kjartan Ólafsson (Ampop, Leaves) who sings, plays piano, guitars, theremin, omnichords and other oddities while being backed by the very firm musicianship of Leaves frontman, Arnar Guðjónsson (bass) and Leaves drummer, Nói Steinn Einarsson. Also Baldvin Ringsted (a.k.a. Bela) contributes some very jazzy guitarwork to a couple of tracks on album. Kristjón Daðason plays trumpet on several tracks and Ragnar Fjölnisson (Fear the Fives) joins in with the accordion on Quantum leap.

The sound of Kjarr has been described as saturated, psychedelic pop, recalling such bands as High Llamas and Beach Boys (rjominn.is ; dr. Gunni).

Recorded at Hljóðriti, Hafnarfjörður, Iceland (2010) and at Kjartans home in Reykjavík and Glasgow between 2007-2011. Recording engineer in Hljóðriti was Finnur Hákonarson.

Mastered by Arnar Helgi Aðalsteinsson at Lalaland, summer 2011.
